FAQ

Questions, answered.

The straight version — pricing, what you get, how long it takes, and what happens if you ever want to leave.

Pricing & billing

$99 a month, inc. GST. No setup fee, no contract. The first $99 is charged when you sign up and covers the build; your monthly subscription starts the day your site goes live.

Because you shouldn't pay a monthly fee for a site you can't use yet. The first $99 covers the build work. Once your site is live, the monthly subscription begins.

For everything in the plan, yes — build, hosting, domain, copy, Google set-up, updates, and the three-year redesign. Bigger jobs like a new online shop or a booking system sit outside the monthly fee, and we'll always quote those before doing anything.

No. If a request falls outside what's included, you hear about it and approve the cost before we start. Nothing lands on your card by surprise.

No. There's no contract and no minimum term. Some services advertise “cancel anytime” but bury a minimum commitment in their terms — ours genuinely doesn't. You can read our subscription terms in full.

What you get

One to three pages — the right size for most sole traders and micro-businesses. That's usually a home page, an about/services section, and a contact page. Need more later? We'll talk through it.

Yes. Tell us about your business and we write the copy. You review and approve it before anything goes live — nothing is published that you haven't signed off.

No problem. No logo and we'll design around clean type and colour. No photos and we'll source reasonable stock imagery. You're not stuck because you don't have assets ready.

Yes. We'll connect a domain you already own, or register a new one in your business name and ABN — included, nothing for you to manage.

Building & timing

About three weeks from when you've told us about your business. Build time depends a little on how quickly you get us your details and approve the preview.

Only if you want one. There's a 30-minute strategy call available where we explain the process, and even get you started on your website brief, or you can skip it and go straight to the brief. Whatever suits how you like to work.

A sense of your business, your contact details and hours, and any assets you've got (logo, photos). The brief walks you through everything and you can do it whenever suits you.

Updates & upkeep

Reasonable content changes — hours, photos, services, prices, a new testimonial, a typo fix. On average that's about 30 minutes of work a month, fair use. Turned around within 48 business hours.

Every three years we redesign your whole site from scratch, on us — new layout, refreshed look — so it never starts looking dated. It's included; you don't pay extra for it.

Within 48 business hours of you asking. Email us the change and we handle it.

Ownership & leaving

While you're subscribed, we own and maintain the code — that's what lets us host it, keep it secure, and update it for you. If you want to own it outright, you can buy it out at any time.

It starts at $3,000 and drops by $85 for every month you've been subscribed, so by around year three it's nearly free. When you buy out, we hand you the full code and a deploy guide to host it wherever you like.

Your subscription ends at the close of the period you've paid for, and the site comes down. If you want to keep it, the buyout is how you take the code with you. No exit fees either way.

Quality & tech

Although we use advanced AI tools to assist us building your website (you'll experience one completing your brief). Every Tidysite has a human in the drivers seat, steering direction, making decisions and communicating with you. A lot of cheap websites are auto-generated templates that look like everyone else's — that's not what this is.

It's built on a static stack rather than WordPress, which means it loads in about two seconds, can't be broken into through an out-of-date plugin, and gives Google a clean, fast site to rank. You get the speed and security without having to manage any of it.
