Acceptable Use Policy
Tidysite by Dropwire Digital Pty Ltd Effective: 22 June 2026 Last updated: 22 June 2026
Plain English summary. Tidysite is for legitimate Australian and New Zealand small businesses. Don't put illegal, infringing, hateful, deceptive, or adult content on your Site. Don't use it to send spam or run scams. Don't try to break our infrastructure. If your traffic gets very high or your behaviour creates risk for other Tidysite customers, we'll talk to you about an upgrade or a move. Most customers will never need to think about this policy.
1. Why we have this
Tidysite is a shared platform — your Site sits on the same infrastructure as other customers' Sites. We need a baseline of acceptable use to keep that infrastructure healthy and to keep Tidysite a brand other small businesses are happy to be associated with. This policy is short, and almost everything in it is common sense.
This policy is part of your Subscription Terms. Breaching it can lead to suspension or termination under §16 of those terms.
2. What you can't host on a Tidysite
You agree not to use your Site, our infrastructure, or our services to host, link to, distribute, or facilitate:
- Illegal content or activity under Australian or New Zealand law, or the law of any other country whose residents your Site is reasonably targeted at;
- Content that infringes intellectual property — copyright, trade marks, patents, trade secrets — that you don't have permission to use. (If you're not sure about a logo, photo, or piece of copy, ask us.)
- Defamatory or misleading content — including misleading or deceptive conduct under the Australian Consumer Law, false testimonials, or fake reviews;
- Hateful content — that incites or vilifies on the basis of race, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected attribute;
- Adult content — pornography, sexually explicit material, escort or sex-work directories. (Tidysite's hosting and template stack isn't designed for this category and a number of our sub-processors prohibit it. Plenty of specialised hosts serve this market — please use one of those.)
- Gambling or wagering services that aren't licensed under applicable AU/NZ law;
- Firearms, weapons, ammunition, or explosives — sales pages, ordering forms, or facilitation of supply where prohibited by law;
- Drugs or controlled substances — sales pages, ordering forms, or facilitation of supply where prohibited by law;
- Scams, fraud, or deceptive marketing — including pyramid schemes, MLM funnel pages with misleading earnings claims, fake "you've won" landing pages, fake invoice / vendor-impersonation pages;
- Phishing pages that impersonate banks, government agencies, or other businesses;
- Malware, ransomware, spyware, or other malicious code — distributing it or facilitating its distribution;
- Content that exploits, depicts, or endangers minors — this is a hard line and any breach will result in immediate termination and notification to the appropriate authorities;
- Content that violates a person's privacy — doxxing, non-consensual intimate imagery, unauthorised disclosure of personal information.
3. What you can't do with our infrastructure
You agree not to:
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any Tidysite system or any other Tidysite customer's Site;
- Attempt to break, bypass, or interfere with authentication or security on the platform;
- Use Tidysite to send unsolicited bulk email, SMS, or other electronic messages in breach of the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) or Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007 (NZ);
- Run cryptocurrency miners, distributed computation, or other workloads that use disproportionate server resources;
- Use the Site as a redirect target for someone else's spam or scam campaign;
- Attempt to host or proxy traffic for other websites or services from your Tidysite;
- Resell or sub-license access to our infrastructure to third parties without our written consent.
4. Traffic and resource fair use
Tidysite is built for typical AU/NZ small-business traffic — a few thousand to a few tens of thousands of visits per month, with occasional spikes (a TV mention, a viral post, a marketing campaign). That's all fine and we won't bill you extra for normal variability.
If your Site sustainedly draws traffic that's an order of magnitude beyond typical SMB volume — for example, ongoing 6-figure monthly visit counts — we'll have a conversation about whether Tidysite is still the right fit, or whether you should move to a dedicated hosting arrangement (we can help you migrate the code, with or without a Buyout under §9 of the Subscription Terms).
If your Site triggers an abuse event (e.g. a sudden spike caused by a viral or malicious campaign that burdens our infrastructure or affects other customers), we may temporarily rate-limit or move your Site to isolated infrastructure while we sort it out.
5. Customer-collected personal information
If your Site collects personal information from end-users (e.g. via a contact form, enquiry form, or booking widget):
- You are the data controller for that information — Tidysite is processing it on your behalf;
- You must publish your own privacy policy on your Site disclosing what you collect, how you use it, and who you share it with. We'll help you set this up at onboarding.
- If you're collecting sensitive personal information (health, government IDs, financial account details), tell us — some integrations and hosting decisions change.
6. What we'll do if you breach this policy
It depends on how serious the breach is.
| Severity | What we'll do |
|---|---|
| Minor / unintentional (e.g. a borrowed photo that turns out not to be licensed) | Email you, ask you to fix it, give you a reasonable time. No suspension. |
| Material (e.g. ongoing misleading testimonials, repeated minor breaches, traffic abuse) | Formal notice with a specific fix deadline. If unaddressed, we suspend the Site under §16 of the Subscription Terms. |
| Severe (e.g. CSAM, malware, illegal goods, phishing) | Immediate suspension. Termination of subscription. Notification of relevant authorities where required. No refund. |
For all but the most serious cases, we'd much rather work with you to fix the problem than terminate. If you're unsure whether something on your Site is OK, ask us before we go live with it.
7. Reporting abuse
If you believe a Tidysite-hosted site is breaching this policy, report it to [email protected] with the URL and a brief description of the issue. We respond to abuse reports within 1 business day.
8. Changes
This policy may be updated as part of changes to the Subscription Terms (under §17). The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
